Windoze 7 touch interface
February 13th, 2009
Looks like Windoze 7 is coming along nicely. As a Mac user, while i scoff at the obvious dock and iphone gesture rip-offs, I pine for the day that Apple takes these ideas a bit more seriously. I get the impression that Micro$oft is trying too hard to shoe-horn touch into it’s OS, but at least it’s giving it a go.
I’ve said numerous times that I’d love for Apple to produce a 1st party Modbook incorporating both a decent pressure-sensitive stylus (for Apple’s supposedly creative-heavy audience) and touch controls. I think the Modbook Pro is about the perfect device but at 5 grand (US$) plus shipping, duty and VAT to get it back to here in Old Blighty, it’s utterly over-the-top for the needs of a humble wannabe cartoonist like myself. The economies of scale and worldwide distribution that Apple would bring to this would make it much more reasonable, even with the so-called Apple-tax
