The rabbit hole goes deep. So deep.

Not only did 1UP Yours get shit-canned, but a whole slew of the shows that came from that stable got taken out the back and shot by the new owners UGO.

There is fallout. Jeff Green, one-time PC gaming editor-in-chief of 1UP.com had this to say.

There is new creativity. You cannot hold the folks that were at 1UP down:

• Matt,  Ryan and Jay are producing a new show, area5.tv, the first of which has almost the entire one-time crew from 1UP. They are distributing through youTube at the moment
• Dan Hsu and Crispin Boyer are doing a gaming blog called Sore Thumbs
• Nick Suttner, Antony, Aegies and Philip K are doing a blog and a podcast at eat. sleep. game.
  
• Ryan Scott is running a blog and podcast at the Geekbox

The list goes on. This could be the start of some amazing new content from a lot of amazingly talented and creative writers and producers but I just can’t help but feel like UGO has systematically ruined one of the internets powerhouses in new media content.

I would hate to be in the atmosphere that’s been left at the 1UP office as well.

Just sayin’.
